This article is designed to help students who wish to study Entrepreneurship under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in Kaduna State University.
It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in KASU to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
Economics and Mathematics are named in every list on this page, including both of the KASU waiver remarks. They are the two subjects an applicant cannot do without.
The waiver remarks matter here more than usual, because the KASU entries are looser than the general requirements printed above them.
The Kaduna State University was established under the Kaduna State Law Number 3 promulgated on 21st May 2004. The promulgation was a consequence of the obvious and felt need to boost higher education in the State and the country in general.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Entrepreneurship;
You require;
Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one Science subject, and one other Social Science or Commercial subject.
All five places are accounted for, with a Science subject required alongside the commercial core, which is unusual for a management course.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Entrepreneurship under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above Universities include;
Economics, Mathematics, and one other Social Science or Commercial subject.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
KASU requires Economics, Mathematics, and one other subject
The KASU remark drops the Social Science and Commercial restriction, leaving the third paper open to any subject. That is the line to follow for this university.

You require; Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Economics and at least one of Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Mathematics.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
KASU accepts Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, and Mathematics. HND/ND Lower Credit and NCE merit in related Discipline.
KASU also recognises an HND or ND at lower credit and an NCE at merit in a related discipline, which the general direct entry condition does not mention.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into KASU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
That score opens the screening exercise rather than securing a place in the department.
Two Waiver Remarks Shape KASU Entrepreneurship
Read both waiver remarks before planning an application, since each one relaxes the general requirement printed immediately above it.
Economics and Mathematics remain compulsory throughout, so confirm those two results first whichever route you intend to use.
Candidates holding an HND, ND or NCE should look closely at the KASU direct entry remark, which accepts qualifications the general condition leaves out.
