Christian Religious Studies and French are both compulsory here, at Ordinary Level and again in JAMB. The two subjects are the course rather than a choice within it.

The rest of each list is open. One further Ordinary Level credit and one further JAMB paper may come from any subject the candidate holds.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Christian Religious Studies/French include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • C.R.S
  • French and one other subject

English Language, Mathematics, C.R.S and French make up four of the five credits, and the fifth is unrestricted.

Candidates who studied French only to junior secondary level will need to check whether they hold a credit in it, since there is no substitute offered.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • C.R.S
  • French and any other subject

Read in full that is English Language, C.R.S, French and one other subject, which makes four papers in total.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted to the  Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.

This is the threshold for the screening exercise. Meeting it is necessary but not sufficient for a place in the department.

About Adeyemi College of Education

ACEONDO, also known as Adeyemi College of Education, is a Federal College in Ondo State, Nigeria’s southwest. The Nigerian federal government manages the college.

The College was founded in 1964 and named after a Nigerian educator. It is affiliated with the prestigious OAU in Ile-Ife.

The college aspires to be the reference point for teacher education in Nigeria, educating students in international academic and moral standards.

French Is the Harder Half of This ACEONDO Combination

Most candidates applying here will already hold Christian Religious Studies. French is the subject more likely to be missing, and it is required on both lists.

Beyond those two, the requirement is light. English Language and Mathematics complete the named credits and the remaining places are unrestricted.

Check your JAMB score against the 120 threshold before counting on an invitation to the college screening exercise.
