This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Pharmacy admission requirements has been published.

The requirements below cover the O’Level subject combination, the four subjects you sit in JAMB UTME, the Direct Entry conditions for candidates holding A Levels, and the JAMB score that makes a Pharmacy application eligible for screening at Maiduguri.
Pharmacy is a full science course and the subject lists leave no room for substitution. Chemistry, Biology and Physics appear at both O’Level and UTME stage, with Mathematics added to the five SSCE credits and English Language compulsory throughout.
That rigidity matters at registration. Unlike courses that accept any relevant science subject, Pharmacy at UNIMAID names each one, so a candidate missing a single credit cannot swap in an alternative and should resolve the gap before paying for JAMB.

About the University of Maiduguri
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) is a Federal higher education institution in Maiduguri, Borno State’s capital city in northeast Nigeria.
The federal government of Nigeria established the university in 1975 with the goal of it becoming one of the country’s primary higher-education institutions.
With a large student and staff population, the University of Maiduguri admits students from all over Nigeria, regardless of race, culture, or religion.
Getting a UNIMAID Pharmacy Application Right
The UTME route asks for five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology repeated in the four UTME subjects alongside English Language. A JAMB score of at least 160 is the eligibility threshold for screening.
Direct Entry into Pharmacy is demanding. The department asks for three A Level passes covering Chemistry, Biology or Zoology, and either Physics or Mathematics, and it also expects the UTME requirements to be satisfied. A Level passes alone will not carry an application through.
Because Pharmacy draws heavy competition nationally, treat 160 as the floor for eligibility rather than a realistic target. Candidates should also confirm the current departmental cut-off mark for the session, since the screening threshold and the departmental mark are not always the same figure.
