This article is designed to help students who wish to study Agriculture Economics and Extension under the Faculty of Agriculture at Adamawa State University (ADSU).
It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in ADSU to carefully confirm and see if the course they selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
The requirements below cover the WAEC or NECO subject combination, the four JAMB UTME papers, and the Direct Entry route, together with the minimum JAMB score the university applies before screening.

Admission Requirements for Agriculture Economics and Extension
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Agriculture Economics and Extension is Five (5) SSCE credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and one in Geography, Physics and Economics.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Agriculture Economics and Extension under the Faculty of Agriculture at ADSU include Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and Mathematics or Physics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agriculture Economics and Extension if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require:
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes, in Chemistry and one in Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics and Health Science.

Health Science in the ADSU Agriculture Economics Direct Entry List
The Direct Entry list is the widest part of this page. Chemistry is required, and the second pass can come from Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Science, Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics or Health Science.
Health Science appears nowhere else on the page, so it only helps a candidate entering by Direct Entry rather than through UTME.
The UTME combination is much tighter, naming Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and Mathematics or Physics beside the compulsory English Language.
At O’level, four subjects are fixed and the fifth comes from Geography, Physics or Economics. Candidates need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
