The Cross River University of Technology, now officially the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), still gets searched for under its older name, CRUTECH, by a lot of applicants and students. Here’s what’s actually confirmed about its school fees for the 2026/2027 academic session.

UNICROSS raised its fees for newly admitted students starting with the 2024/2025 session, its first increase since 2009, according to the university’s own announcement. Under that increase, new indigene students were to pay ₦83,380 (up from ₦73,315) and new non-indigene students ₦98,380 (up from ₦84,815). Returning students were specifically exempted from that increase.
Those are the most recently confirmed figures we could trace to an actual institutional announcement rather than an aggregator site. The university has not published a public 2026/2027 schedule beyond that.
A number of websites still circulate fresher figures in the N105,000 to N128,000 range that have stayed identical across several admission cycles, which marks them as recycled rather than current. We are not repeating those numbers as fact.

New students have historically paid an acceptance fee of around ₦15,000 to confirm their admission before the full fee invoice is generated, but this was reported in older sessions and we could not confirm it still stands unchanged for 2026/2027. Treat the amount on your own admission letter or portal invoice as the correct one.

Students who want school-provided hostel accommodation need to apply through the Students Affairs division once the housing allocation process opens for the session. UNICROSS has not published a current hostel fee for 2026/2027, so check with Students Affairs or your portal account before budgeting for a specific amount.
