The Delta State University (DELSU) has released the first batch of its direct entry admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session, naming candidates granted provisional admission into its degree programmes.
Direct entry candidates come in on the strength of an earlier qualification rather than a UTME score, which is why this list is published separately from the UTME intake.
The direct entry admission list is readily accessible on the university’s portal, facilitating a convenient and prompt verification of admission status for prospective students.

How to Check the DELSU Direct Entry Admission List
To facilitate a seamless experience for candidates eager to confirm their admission status, we have provided a detailed step-by-step guide below:
- Access the Delta State University direct entry admission status checking portal.
- Candidates must supply their JAMB registration number in the designated column.
- To access your DELSU direct entry admission status, click “Check.”
Next Steps for Admitted Candidates
Candidates who have successfully gained admission are advised to undertake the following steps promptly:
- Log in to the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) to accept or reject their admission.
- Candidates should proceed to print their JAMB admission letter.
Securing a DELSU Direct Entry Place
Accepting the offer on CAPS is the step that holds the place, and an offer left unanswered can be withdrawn while a candidate assumes it is settled.
Keep the qualification that won you direct entry to hand as well, since clearance turns on verifying it alongside your JAMB documents.
Being a first batch, this is unlikely to be the only release, so candidates not listed should check again later in the session.
Print the admission letter once acceptance is recorded, since it is the document the university asks for at clearance.
Candidates offered a course other than the one applied for should request a change on the JAMB portal rather than declining the offer outright.
Congratulations to all candidates on the DELSU direct entry admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session.
