FCE Kano School Fees for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The institution long known as the Federal College of Education, Kano (FCE Kano) was renamed in 2025, and the National Assembly passed the bill giving it full legal standing as the Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano in October 2026.

Students and the public still search for it as “FCE Kano,” so we keep that name here while flagging the change. It matters, because it affects how fees are likely to be structured going forward.

FCE Kano School Fees for 2026/2027: Not Yet Published

As of this writing we could not find a published 2026/2027 fee schedule from the school, either under the old FCE Kano name or the new university name. Its own fees page still shows figures from the 2022/2023 session.

A transition from a college of education to a federal university of education can change how fees are categorised rather than only their size. Wait for an official circular rather than assuming the old NCE structure still applies.

If you need a number today, contact the bursary or check the student portal directly rather than relying on third-party sites quoting unconfirmed figures for “2026/2027.”

Acceptance Fee

Newly admitted students pay an acceptance fee before their first school fees payment; it’s a one-time charge and doesn’t recur in later years. We don’t have a confirmed current amount for it, so check this against your admission letter or the bursary.

What the Kano Name Change Means for Fees

The 2022/2023 schedule priced everything around the NCE structure, with Pre-NCE from N15,450 and NCE levels between N13,100 and N17,500. A university of education will not necessarily keep those categories at all.

The degree programmes already cost roughly twice the NCE ones, running from N25,500 to N31,500. If the institution shifts fully toward degrees, that is the band worth watching rather than the NCE rows.

One oddity in the old table is worth noting. NCE 200 level was cheaper than both 100 and 300 level, so costs did not simply fall as students progressed.
