The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB) has published the names of candidates admitted into its Interim Joint Matriculation Board programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
IJMB is a one-year advanced level programme rather than a diploma, and candidates who complete it use the result to seek direct entry into degree study.
The list is searched on the polytechnic portal by filtering on session, department, level and stream, so each of those selections has to be right before any name appears.

How To Check Federal Polytechnic Admission Status
For the aspirants awaiting this good news, verifying admission status has been made easy;
- The candidates are to visit the FPTB Admission Status-Checking Portal.
- Once there, select “Academic Session” from the available options.
- Input your name or application number for precise results.
- Further, narrow the search by selecting the department, the level as “IJMB,” and the stream as “ALL.”
- Finally, click on “Display list” to access the FPTB IJMB admission status.
After the FPTB IJMB List
If the list returns nothing, check each filter before assuming the worst, since selecting the wrong department or level produces the same blank result as an unsuccessful application.
Candidates who find their names should contact the polytechnic about acceptance fees, registration dates and the documents required, as IJMB runs to its own timetable.
Ask early what IJMB grades are needed for direct entry into the degree you want, since that threshold shapes how the year should be approached.
Save or print the page showing your name, because such portals are sometimes closed once registration for the session has ended.
Act promptly once the requirements are known, as places left unconfirmed after the window the polytechnic allows are routinely offered to other candidates.
Have your O-level results and application documents ready for registration, because verification normally covers all of them at a single sitting.
Congratulations to all candidates admitted into the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi IJMB programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
