Education and Mathematics is taught under the Faculty of Education at The Federal University, Kashere. Mathematics is fixed at every stage, and the science requirement grows by one paper at UTME.
Two of the five O’Level credits are left entirely open, which makes the secondary school stage the most forgiving part of this application.

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Education and Mathematics is Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics plus one (1) other Science subject.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Education and Mathematics under the Faculty of Education at FUKASHERE include;
Mathematics and any two (2) of the following Science subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Mathematics if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes/NCE in Mathematics and one (1) Science subject.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
The Science Load Grows at JAMB for FUKASHERE Education and Mathematics
The O’Level requirement is five SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and one other science subject. Two of the five credits carry no restriction at all.
The UTME combination asks for more. English Language is compulsory, Mathematics is fixed, and two further papers must come from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
A candidate who offered only one science at secondary school will therefore be short at the JAMB stage, since two are needed there.
Direct Entry returns to the lighter standard, asking for two ‘A’ Level passes or an NCE in Mathematics and one science subject.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FUKASHERE and applies whichever route a candidate uses.
