FUTMINNA Department of Food Science & Nutrition Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This is to inform the general public and all Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMINNA) aspirants that the Department of Food Science & Nutrition Admission requirements has been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Food Science & Nutrition include Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

• English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric, Science, Physics, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, Hotel & Catering Crafty course (Cookery), Hotel & Catering Craft Course (Food /Drinks Services) and Basic Electricity.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

• FUTMINNA accepts any one of Physics, geography, Economics, Home Economics, Food, and nutrition as the fifth subject. At least a pass in Physics is required.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

• English Language
• Chemistry, Mathematics/Physics, and Agricultural Science

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Food Science And Nutrition if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

• Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Biology/Physics/Agric Science/Botany/Zoology.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

• FUTMINNA accepts OND with lower credit/NCE merit in the Agricultural components of choice and a minimum of merit in the other component or an HND with a minimum of lower credit to be admitted into the 300 level.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTMINNA  for the 2024/2025 session should know that you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result to be eligible for the screening.
