The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Soil Science include Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Biology/Agricultural Science, and any other Science subject
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Chemistry
- Biology or Agricultural Science
- Mathematics or Physics

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Soil Science if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and one in Zoology/Botany/Agric Science/Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics, and Health Science.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
- FUTMINNA accepts OND/NCE with a minimum of credit in Agriculture or OND/NCE with TC II credit in Agriculture/Maths, General Science/Integrated Science or Agricultural Science/Biology
- FUTMINNA accepts credit in OND/NCE Agriculture into 200 levels, while those with HND are accepted into 300.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTMINNA for the 2024/2025 session should know that you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result to be eligible for the screening.
