Every admission cycle, candidates who sat the I-con Polytechnic post-UTME screening exercise log on to the same portal within days of each other, hoping to see their score. Icon Polytechnic has now made these scores available online.
Your post-UTME score matters because most Nigerian institutions combine it with your JAMB score to arrive at an aggregate, which is then used to decide who makes the admission list.
The steps below cover everything you need: what to have ready before you log in, how to navigate the I-con Polytechnic result portal, and what your next move should be once you see your score.

Staying Safe Online
Unfortunately, admission season also attracts scammers who claim they can guarantee you a result or a place for a fee.
No legitimate Nigerian institution asks for payment from a third party in exchange for a result or an admission slot, so treat any such message as a red flag.
Always use the school’s official portal link rather than a link forwarded to you on social media or through a messaging app.
Common Checking Mistakes
A surprising number of candidates fail to see their result simply because of a typing error, not because anything is wrong with the portal.
Double-check your JAMB registration number character by character before you submit it, since a single wrong digit or letter will fail silently and just return a blank page.
It also helps to use a stable internet connection and a modern browser, since some older phone browsers struggle to load university result portals correctly.
If the Portal Will Not Load
Result portals in Nigeria tend to experience heavy traffic in the hours right after a release, so if a page times out, it is often congestion rather than a fault on your end.
Try again after a short while, preferably outside peak hours such as early morning or late evening, and clear your browser cache if the page keeps showing an old error.
If the problem persists for more than a day or two, it is worth reaching out to the school’s admissions office directly rather than continuing to refresh the page.
A Final Check
Now that you know how to check your I-con Polytechnic post-UTME result, the smartest move is to confirm it against the cut-off mark for your chosen course and start preparing your documents for the next admission stage.
Keep checking this page and the school’s official channels for updates, and never pay anyone outside the official portal for help with your result or your admission.
