Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) charges school fees that vary by programme, with science-based and professional courses costing more than arts and social science programmes. Here is what’s been confirmed, and what to check directly with the school for the 2026/2027 session.
How Much is JABU School Fees?
JABU has not published a separate fees schedule for the 2026/2027 session yet. The most recently confirmed figures, reported for the 2024/2025 session and matching JABU’s standing tuition rate of ₦340,000, are below.
Treat these as the last verified baseline rather than this year’s exact figure, since schools typically adjust fees by modest amounts each session.
| Programme | Tuition | Other Charges (endowment, course materials, parents’ forum, etc.) | Total (2024/2025, new students) |
| Science-based (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physics, etc.) | ₦340,000 | ₦90,000 + other | ₦975,500 |
| Architecture | ₦340,000 | ₦90,000 + other | ₦1,108,500 |
| Law | ₦340,000 | ₦90,000 + other | ₦1,858,500 |
| Nursing | ₦340,000 | ₦90,000 + other | ₦1,956,500 |
| Non-science / Arts and Social Sciences | ₦340,000 | ₦90,000 + other | ₦905,500 – 975,500 |
Returning students generally pay less than new students since they skip one-off charges like the acceptance fee. The exact breakdown per level and faculty is published on the JABU student portal, which is the reliable place to confirm your own assessment before paying.
How Much is JABU Acceptance Fee?
JABU’s acceptance fee has stood at ₦60,000 for most programmes, with Education admissions charged a lower ₦20,000. New intakes must clear this before they’re treated as registered students, and it’s separate from tuition.
JABU Hostel Fee
Students who want campus accommodation need to apply early since rooms are limited. JABU hasn’t published a confirmed hostel rate for 2026/2027 that we could independently verify, so check the current figure through the student portal or the Student Affairs office before budgeting for it.

Why JABU Totals Diverge Despite Identical Tuition
Tuition at Joseph Ayo Babalola University is the same ₦340,000 on every row of that table, yet the totals run from ₦905,500 to ₦1,956,500. Everything separating them sits in the charges layered on top rather than in teaching itself.
Nursing is the heaviest at close to double a science programme, with Law not far behind. Architecture sits in between, and the arts and social sciences occupy the bottom of the range.
Acceptance fees follow their own logic too. Most programmes charge ₦60,000, but Education admissions are set at ₦20,000, and in either case the money is separate from tuition and due before you are treated as registered.
Returning students avoid the one-off lines and so pay less, though by how much depends on the faculty. The portal at eportal.jabu.edu.ng generates your own assessment, and that is the number to pay from rather than any figure on this page.
Fees can shift once JABU releases its official 2026/2027 schedule, so confirm your own assessment on the portal before making a payment.
