KASU Department of Chinese Studies Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Chinese Studies under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities at Kaduna State University.

KASU

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in KASU  to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The Kaduna State University was established under the Kaduna State Law Number 3 promulgated on 21st May 2004. The promulgation resulted from the obvious and felt need to boost higher education in the State and the country in general.

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Chinese Studies; You require;

  • Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language and French.
  • Credit passes in English Language and four (4) other subjects

Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Chinese Studies under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above Universities include;

  • For Programme A, French and any other two (2) subjects.
  • For Programme B, any three (3) subjects.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Chinese Studies if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or NCE French for the French program.
  • Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or NCE in any subject.

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into KASU for the 2024/2025 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of  180 and above in your JAMB result.
