Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Physics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Fisheries if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Biology/Physics/Agricultural Science.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into MAUTECH for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Where MAUTECH Fisheries Allows a Choice
Only one point on this page offers a genuine alternative at UTME. Biology and Chemistry are fixed, and the third paper can be either Mathematics or Physics.
Since both of those are already required among the five O’level credits, that choice affects your JAMB registration rather than your result sheet.
The O’level list itself is fully specified, naming Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics and Chemistry with nothing optional.
Direct Entry is the broader route, accepting Biology, Physics or Agricultural Science as the second subject behind Chemistry, which is the only place Agricultural Science counts.
Candidates entering through UTME need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
