This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola that the Department of Technology & Vocational Education admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

The Federal University of Technology, now known as the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola, is a research-intensive university in Girei, a town in Adamawa State in Northeastern Nigeria.
It is one of the 27 federal government university systems and one of only 4 federal technology universities established to advance science-based research.
The Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola is accredited by the National Universities Commission. The university offers associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Technology & Vocational Education include the following:
Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects, which must include English Language and Mathematics or NTC/NBC.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
MAUTECH accepts TC II.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Technology and Vocational Education if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE merit in two (2) relevant Science subjects plus the UTME requirements.
- Two ‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.

- MAUTECH accepts NCE merit in relevant subjects. It also accepts ‘A’ Level passes in a related subject.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into MAUTECH for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum of 160 or above score in your JAMB result.
Routes Into 200 Level for MAUTECH Technology and Vocational Education
Four subjects are written in JAMB for this programme: English Language, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. At O level you need five credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics, or NTC/NBC, and MAUTECH also accepts TC II.
Direct Entry runs through an NCE merit in two relevant Science subjects or two A level passes in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Holders of an ND, HND or City and Guilds Full Technological Certificate may enter at 200 level. The JAMB minimum is 160.
