This is to inform the general public and all students of Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State (NDU), that the management of the school has released the new academic calendar for 2024/2025 academic session.
Students are to view the academic calendar to be updated on how the school will run the session.
NDU Approved 2024/2025 Academic Calendar Schedule
The Committee of Provost and Deans (CPD) at its 151st Meeting held on Wednesday, December 21, 2024 amongst other deliberations, decided as follows:
- The CPD appreciates the Bayelsa State Government for the completion of the remedial work on the failed portions of the Tombia/Amassoma road leading to the University. The effort of the Government has facilitated the full resumption of academic activities following the disruption caused by the recent devastating floods.
- Following the resumption of full academic activities, the 2021/2022 academic calendar has been revised thus:
First Semester 2024/2025 Academic Session
- Lectures continue – Tuesday, January 3, 2024
- Lectures End – Friday, February 3, 2024
- Faculty of Education and GST First Semester Examination Begins – Monday, 6 February 2024
- Other Faculties First Semester Examination Begins – Monday, 13 February 2024
- First Semester Examination Ends – Wednesday, February 22, 2024
