RSU Department of Agricultural & Environmental Engineering Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This is to inform the general public and all Rivers State University (RSU) aspirants that the Department of Agricultural & Environmental Engineeringecture Admission requirements has been published.


The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural & Environmental Engineering include the following:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Any from Intro. to Agric Sc., Materials & Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity; Transmission System; Implement and Machine; Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use, Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing.
  • A trade subject

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • RSU accepts ‘O’ level credit pass in Biology or Agricultural Science as the fifth subject.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural and Environmental Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME.

  • You require; an A’ level pass or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • RSU requires ‘A’ level passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics plus UTME requirements. Accepts ND/HND upper credit in relevant programmes.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into RSU for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.


The Rivers State University of Technology was founded in 1979 and is the first of its kind in Nigeria. According to the international higher education rankings, the school is ranked sixth in Nigeria.

The university was established as a non-profit organization to push the frontiers of technology in Nigeria, and the university has been committed to this since its inception.

The school was formally known as Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), or UST for short, until it was renamed in 2017 by the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike.
