Here’s what to know about the Rivers State University (RSU) hostel space allocation portal.
We could not confirm a specific, current opening date for the 2026/2027 cycle at the time of this update. A previous version of this page carried a specific March date from an earlier session that no longer applies. Watch RSU’s official channels for the portal opening announcement; it has previously opened around the start of a new session, with timing sometimes shifted by hostel renovation work.
Students are advised to go online to book spaces when the portal is opened.
They should be wary of persons offering to serve as agents or middlemen giving their login details to such persons.
It has been brought to the notice of the school management that some people use students’ details to book and pay for spaces which they later sell at high prices. Please be warned as the sale of bed spaces is prohibited.

Stay Alert for Scalpers
Never share your portal login details with anyone claiming to book a space on your behalf. RSU has repeatedly warned that some people use students’ details to book and resell bed spaces at inflated prices; booking should only ever be done by you, with your own credentials.
