    UDUSOK Cut-off Mark 2024/2025 | JAMB & Post-UTME

This is to inform all prospective candidates of  Usmanu Dan Fodio University, Sokoto  (UDUSOK), that the management of the school has released all the departmental cut-offs of the university.

This is to enable students to know if they are eligible for admission into the school and also choose a lesser competitive course if their cutoff mark is low.

    UDUSOK Cut-off Mark

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, also known as UDUSOK and formerly the University of Sokoto, is one of the initial twelve universities founded in Nigeria by the federal government in 1975.

It is a research university located in the city of Sokoto, Northwest Nigeria.

    School’s Cut-off Mark

After every UTME exercise, the exam body sets a particular mark {e.g., 120}. This mark is a score a candidate must have or cross to qualify him or her to sit for the chosen school’s POST UTME exercise.

This mark is announced to all schools to enable them to decide the number of candidates they will admit. After the school’s decision, they announce a particular mark that must not be lower than the mark the UTME body fixed.

Any candidate who crosses the mark set by the UTME body and does not reach the chosen school’s mark is NEVER eligible to sit for the school’s POST UTME.

This mark or score set by the school admission board is known as SCHOOL’S CUT-OFF MARK.

    Departmental Cut-off Mark

When a candidate crosses the UTME cut-off mark and reaches or crosses the chosen school’s cut-off mark, he or she is now eligible to sit for the POST UTME.

After the POST UTME exercise, the department you applied for will check the number of students seeking admission therein and the performance of those students in the POST UTME exercise.

This analysis gives rise to a decision to set a mark/score which the candidates must have or cross. This mark is called the DEPARTMENTAL CUT-OFF MARK. Any candidate who scores or crosses the departmental cut-off is entitled to admission.

Your UTME score is added to your POST UTME score and is divided by two; the outcome of this calculation must be equal to the departmental cut-off mark or higher than the departmental cut-off mark.

    JAMB Cut-off Mark

The fixed cut-off mark set by JAMB is 180. Therefore, any student who scores 180 and above is eligible for admission to Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto (UDUSOK)

All aspirants should also know that students with the higher cut-off mark will be considered for admission first.
