UDUSOK Cut-off Mark 2026/2027 | JAMB & Post-UTME

This is to inform all prospective candidates of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUSOK) about the school’s cut-off mark position for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Knowing both the university-wide figure and your department’s figure helps you judge your real chances, and pick a less competitive course if your score falls short of your first choice.

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, also known as UDUSOK and formerly the University of Sokoto, is one of the first twelve universities founded in Nigeria by the federal government in 1975. It’s a research university located in Sokoto, Northwest Nigeria.

School’s Cut-off Mark

After every UTME exercise, JAMB sets a national minimum score candidates must cross to qualify for Post-UTME screening at any university. Each school can then set its own cut-off mark, which can’t go lower than JAMB’s national floor but is often set higher.

A candidate who clears JAMB’s national floor but falls short of their chosen school’s cut-off mark isn’t eligible for that school’s Post-UTME. This school-level figure is what’s generally called the school’s cut-off mark.

Departmental Cut-off Mark

Once a candidate crosses both the UTME floor and the school’s cut-off mark, they’re eligible to sit the Post-UTME. Afterward, each department reviews the number of applicants and how they performed, then sets its own departmental cut-off mark.

At UDUSOK, your final aggregate (UTME score plus Post-UTME score, averaged) needs to meet or beat your department’s cut-off mark for you to be offered admission.

JAMB Cut-off Mark

JAMB’s national minimum for university admission in the 2026/2027 cycle is 150. That’s the confirmed floor for UDUSOK and every other Nigerian university; nobody can be admitted below it, though UDUSOK’s own departmental cut-offs, shown below, run well above this in most courses.

Candidates with higher scores are generally considered first when a department has more qualified applicants than spaces.

UDUSOK Departmental Cut-off Mark

UDUSOK publishes its departmental cut-offs by admission category: Regular Merit (RM), Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS), and Reduced Catchment (RC). The figures below are UDUSOK’s last confirmed departmental release; the university typically reissues this list each session, so treat it as a strong guide rather than a guaranteed match for 2026/2027 until UDUSOK’s admissions office confirms the current list.

UDUSOK Nature of Admission Screening

UDUSOK holds its admission screening over one to a few weeks, usually in two phases. Students who apply need to go through pre-screening first, once it’s announced.

The documents needed for pre-screening are your SSCE results and JAMB registration printout. Arrive early so you can locate your screening venue; candidates are screened based on their JAMB scores and SSCE results.
