The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

O’level Subject Combinations
Candidates who wish to study Anthropology at the University Of Ibadan (UI) must possess Five ‘O’ level subjects at one sitting or 6 ‘O’ level subjects in 2 sittings, including the English Language and two Arts and others from Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
Commerce, Business Studies, Book Keeping, Accounting, and Civic Education are unacceptable.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
English Language, one Arts subject, and any two Arts or Social Sciences. Commerce, Business Studies, Book Keeping, Accounting, and Civic Education are unacceptable.
UI JAMB Cut-Off Mark
Generally, For any candidate to be admitted into the University Of Ibadan (UI) for any course, the candidate must score 200 and above in jamb. That is to say that the University Of Ibadan (UI) JAMB Cut-Off mark is 200.
UI Department Of Anthropology Departmental Cut-Off Mark
The UI Department of Anthropology Departmental Cut Off Mark is 200. That is to say that, Candidates who seek admission to the University Of Ibadan (UI) Department of Anthropology must score 200 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.
