This is to inform the general public that the management of the University Of Ibadan (UI) has published the admission requirements for its Department of Communication & Language Arts For admission aspirants.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

UI Department Of Communication & Language Arts Admission Requirements

O’level Subject Combinations

Candidates who wish to study Communication & Language Arts at the University Of Ibadan (UI) must possess Five ‘O’ Level Credits at one sitting or 6 ‘O’ Level Credits at two sittings to include the English Language, two Arts to include Lit-in-English and any other three or four subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science [Please note that Government and Economics are not Arts subjects]

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

English Language, Literature in English and any other from Arts, Social Sciences or Science [Please note that Government and Economics are not Arts subjects].

UI JAMB Cut-Off Mark

Generally, For any candidate to be admitted into the University Of Ibadan (UI) for any course at all, the candidate must score 200 and above in jamb. That is to say that the University Of Ibadan (UI) JAMB Cut-Off mark is 200.

UI Department Of Communication & Language Arts Departmental Cut-Off Mark

The UI Department of Communication & Language Arts Departmental Cut Off Mark is 220. That is to say that, Candidates who seek admission to the University Of Ibadan (UI) Department of Communication & Language Arts must score 220 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.
