Human Nutrition is a full science course at Ibadan. The five Ordinary Level credits are all named, and the four JAMB papers are named too, leaving a candidate with no subject choices to make.

Two different marks apply at two different stages. The university sets 200 in JAMB as its general requirement, and the department then looks for 240 in the school screening exercise.

UI Department Of Human Nutrition Admission Requirements

O’level Subject Combinations

Candidates who wish to study Human Nutrition at the University Of Ibadan (UI) must possess Five O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Each of the three sciences is required at credit level. Mathematics completes the list alongside English Language, and no alternative subject is accepted in place of any of them.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

Mathematics is the one subject that appears at Ordinary Level but not in JAMB. The four papers above are the exact combination to register for this course.

UI JAMB Cut-Off Mark

Generally, For any candidate to be admitted into the University Of Ibadan (UI) for any course, the candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB. That is to say that the University Of Ibadan (UI) JAMB Cut-Off mark is 200.

UI Department Of Human Nutrition Departmental Cut-Off Mark

The UI Department of Human Nutrition Departmental Cut Off Mark is 240. That is to say that, Candidates who seek admission to the University Of Ibadan (UI) Department of Human Nutrition must score 240 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.

The higher figure does not replace the lower one. A candidate clears 200 in JAMB to be considered by the university, then needs 240 at the screening stage for this department.

Why UI Human Nutrition Leaves No Subject Choices

Every subject in this requirement is named. Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics are all compulsory, and the JAMB registration must read English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

That makes the course straightforward to plan for but unforgiving. A single missing science credit removes a candidate from consideration regardless of the JAMB score.

Target the departmental figure from the start. Preparing for 240 in the school screening exercise is the realistic standard for Human Nutrition, not the general university mark of 200.
