Confirm the course is listed under UNIABUJA on the current JAMB brochure before you register. School and departmental cut-off marks are applied after screening, so the score below is only the point at which your file is considered.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Business Administration include the following:

  • Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Economics and one (1) other subject.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Business Administration if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, or Statistics.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.

About the University of Abuja

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), a dual-mode institution with the authority to administer conventional and distance learning academic programs, was founded on January 1st, 1988.

At its inception, it was the first university in the country to take on such a dual mandate. The Vision of the University is to develop an institution of higher learning that combines academic excellence with the pursuit of the unity of Nigeria.

The Commercial Subjects That Carry UNIABUJA Business Administration

Your five O’Level credits break into two parts. English Language, Mathematics and Economics are compulsory, and two further credits come from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics.

That second group is worth planning deliberately. Choosing two subjects that also appear in the Direct Entry list keeps a second route open if your UTME score falls short in a given year.

JAMB asks for four papers. English Language, Mathematics and Economics are fixed, and the fourth is left open, so any subject you are strong in can fill it.

Direct Entry needs two A level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics. On either route the JAMB score must reach 180 before UNIABUJA will treat you as eligible for screening.
