UNIABUJA Department of History Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This article is designed to help students who wish to study History Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in UNIABUJA  to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study History; You require;

Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include History and English Language.

JAMB Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study History under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above Universities include;

History and any other two subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.

Specials Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • UNIABJUA and FED-LOKOJA accept Government in lieu of History.

Direct Entry Requirements

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study History if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in History and any other related subjects.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNIABUJA accepts

  • ND lower credit with the UTME requirements plus two (2) years post qualification.
  • A minimum of ten (10) points in NCE or ND upper credit in addition to the UTME requirements or two (2) ‘A’ level credit passes, including History or Government and one other Art subject.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
