UNIABUJA Department of Primary Education Studies Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Primary Education at the Studies Faculty of  Education at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).


It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in UNIABUJA  to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The university runs regular degree, diploma, and postgraduate programs. Its location in the Federal Capital Territory has a Centre for Distance Learning School, which provides university education to those who cannot acquire such education through the regular university system and those interested in acquiring new knowledge and specialized skills.

O’Level Subject combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Primary Education Studies;

You require;

Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including the English Language.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • ABUJA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent to include Mathematics, English Language, and three (3) other relevant Arts/Social Sciences subjects

Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Primary Education Studies under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;

Any three (3) subjects.

Direct Entry Requirements

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Primary Education Studies if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

 Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes were chosen from relevant subjects.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • ABUJA accepts two (2)’A’ Level passes in relevant subjects/NCE, a minimum of 10 points in addition to UTME requirements.

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
