Admission requirements for the Department of Christian Religious Studies at the University of Calabar have been published. They cover the O’Level credits, the JAMB UTME papers, the Direct Entry route and the JAMB score.

About the University of Calabar
The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, in the south south region of Nigeria. It was established in 1975.
The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.
CRS Is Non Negotiable at UNICAL Christian Religious Studies
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credit passes. English Language and CRS are named, and three other relevant subjects complete the set, which leaves arts candidates plenty of room.
The JAMB combination is four papers. English Language is compulsory, two Arts subjects are required with CRS among them, and any other subject fills the last slot.
Direct Entry asks for two A level passes or an NCE that includes CRS or Religious Studies. No diploma route is listed for this department.
The UNICAL JAMB score for any department is 150 and above, which is one of the more accessible thresholds among federal universities.
Because the score bar is low and the subject rules are loose, a missing CRS credit is the single thing most likely to stop an application here. Sit it at the next opportunity if it is absent.
