About the University of Calabar
The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, in the south south region of Nigeria. It was established in 1975.

Three A Levels for UNICAL Dentistry and Dental Surgery
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Every place is named.
The JAMB combination is slightly looser. English Language, Chemistry and Biology are fixed, and the fourth paper may be any other Science subject, which in practice means Physics or Mathematics.
Direct Entry is the demanding part. Three A level passes are required, covering Chemistry, Biology or Zoology, and Physics, where most UNICAL departments ask for only two.
Candidates holding two A levels in the right subjects therefore cannot use this route, and would need to apply through UTME instead.
The UNICAL JAMB threshold is 150 and above for any department. Verify all five O’Level credits first, since none of them can be substituted here.
