UNICAL Department of Food Science & Technology Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This is to inform the general public and all aspirants of the University of Calabar that the admission requirements for the Department of Food Science & Technology have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

About The University of Calabar

The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, Nigeria’s south-south region. In 1975, the university was established.

The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Food Science & Technology include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • English Language, and any other Science subject

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Biology

Direct Entry Requirement For Food Science & Technology

Below is the Direct Entry  Requirement for Food Science & Technology:

  • ‘A’ level passes in two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • ND/HND upper credit in relevant programmes

JAMB Score

For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Calabar, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
