The O’Level section is short for SSC holders but long for NTC holders, because UNILAG names a wide range of technical certificates that count towards the requirement.
O’Level Subject Combination
- Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language and Fine Arts.
- For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be General Woodwork, Building/Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction, Decorative Painting; SprayPainting, Lining, Sign and Design; Wall hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing; Printing Origination; Machine Printing and Finishing; General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing; Bleaching, Dyeing, and Finishing; Graphic Design; Graphic Printing and Ceramics.

For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.
Fine Arts Is the One Fixed Subject at UNILAG
For SSC candidates the rule is brief. Five credit passes are needed, and only English Language and Fine Arts are specified, which leaves three slots entirely open.
NTC holders are treated differently. UNILAG lists a long set of relevant technical subjects, running from General Woodwork and Building Drawing through the painting, printing and textile trades to Graphic Design and Ceramics.
The JAMB combination keeps the same shape. English Language is compulsory, Fine Arts is required, and the remaining two papers are any Arts or Social Science subjects.
Direct Entry gives two routes. Two A level passes in Arts or Fine Arts with any other subject, or an ND at upper credit or an HND at lower credit from a recognised institution.
The JAMB score for any UNILAG department is 200 and above. Fine Arts is the subject to secure first, since it appears in the O’Level requirement, the JAMB combination and the A level route alike.
