The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

O’level Subject Combinations
Candidates wishing to study Theatre Arts at the University Of Ibadan (UI) must possess Five O’ Level Credits at ONE sitting or 6 ‘O’ Level Credits at TWO sittings, including English Language, Literature in English and other subjects from Arts or Social Science.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
English Language, Literature in English and two other subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.
UI JAMB Cut-Off Mark
Generally, For any candidate to be admitted into the University Of Ibadan (UI) for any course at all, the candidate must score 200 and above in jamb. That is to say that the University Of Ibadan (UI) JAMB Cut-Off mark is 200.
UI Department Of Theatre Arts Departmental Cut-Off Mark
The UI Department of Theatre Arts Departmental Cut Off Mark is 240. That is to say that, Candidates who seek admission to the University Of Ibadan (UI) Department of Theatre Arts must score 240 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.
