The management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede (FPNO), Owerri, breaks its fees down by school and by morning, evening, and weekend programmes. Here’s what’s confirmed for the 2026/2027 academic session.

FPNO School Fees (ND, Morning/Regular)
Multiple independent sources agree closely on the following ND morning fees, and the figures are a modest step up from the previous session rather than a sudden jump, which fits how fees normally move at FPNO:
| PROGRAMME | SCIENCE-BASED SCHOOLS (SEDT, SET, SIAS, SHSS, OTM) | OTHER SCHOOLS (SBMT) |
| ND 1 | ₦65,700 | ₦62,200 |
| ND 2 | ₦47,200 | ₦44,700 |
Evening and weekend programmes are charged above the morning rate, but the figures circulating online for those tracks contain arithmetic that does not reconcile from one source to another.
We are not reproducing them for that reason. If you are on an evening or weekend programme, take your exact fee from the portal invoice after admission.
HND and Post-HND fees follow a similar school-by-school structure to ND, with HND typically priced close to, though slightly below, ND 1 morning rates. Confirm your own HND invoice on the portal rather than relying on a general figure, since levels and schools are priced separately.
FPNO Acceptance Fee
FPNO’s acceptance fee has held steady across recent sessions at ₦30,000 for morning ND and HND students and ₦40,000 for evening and weekend students. It is paid via Remita through the Federal Polytechnic Microfinance Bank.
The window is two weeks from admission. Missing it can mean losing the offer, so pay as soon as yours is confirmed.
FPNO Hostel Fee
Students who want school-provided hostel accommodation need to apply through Students Affairs once housing allocation opens for the session. FPNO hasn’t published a specific hostel fee for 2026/2027 on its official channels, so check with Students Affairs or the portal before budgeting a figure.

The Two-Week Clock Is the Real FPNO Deadline
Everything at Federal Polytechnic Nekede hangs on the acceptance window. Two weeks from your offer, ₦30,000 for morning students or ₦40,000 for evening and weekend, and missing it can cost the admission outright.
Tuition is the smaller worry by comparison. Science-based schools charge ₦65,700 at ND 1 and other schools ₦62,200, a difference of only ₦3,500 between the two columns.
Second year brings real relief, falling to ₦47,200 and ₦44,700, which is a saving of ₦18,500 and ₦17,500 respectively.
A morning ND 1 student in a science-based school therefore needs about ₦95,700 once acceptance is added, with accommodation still unpublished and best confirmed through Students Affairs.
