This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) aspirants that the Department of Education & Biology admission requirements have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Biology is the only subject compulsory on every route here. It is named at Ordinary Level, in JAMB, and in the direct entry condition as well.
Candidates who do not want to sit the UTME have a short alternative. An NCE or Advanced Level pass in Biology plus one more science subject satisfies the direct entry requirement.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education & Biology include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Mathematics and one (1) additional subject
Four subjects are named and the fifth is left entirely open, so a credit outside the sciences can be used to complete the five.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Biology and two (2) other subjects from below:
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Physics
English Language and Biology are fixed, with two more papers taken from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. That gives a candidate three ways to make up the combination.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Biology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE/’A’ Level passes in Biology and one (1) additional Science subject
The additional subject must be a science, so the direct entry route is not open to candidates whose second qualification lies outside that group.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.

Biology Runs Through Every ACEONDO Education and Biology Route
Whether a candidate applies through UTME or through direct entry, Biology is required. No alternative subject is accepted in its place on any of the three lists.
UTME candidates have genuine choice in their other JAMB papers, picking two from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, and one wholly open Ordinary Level credit.
Direct entry candidates need Biology plus one further science at NCE or Advanced Level, while UTME candidates need a JAMB score of at least 120 for the screening exercise.
