This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) aspirants that the Department of Education & Fine and Applied Arts admission requirements have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Fine Art is required on every route into this department, whether a candidate applies on Ordinary Level credits, through JAMB, or by direct entry.
The Ordinary Level condition is unusually wide in the qualifications it accepts. Credit passes, a TC II, or an NTC or NBC at merit all satisfy it.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education & Fine and Applied Arts include the following:
- Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or TC II or NTC/NBC merit, including Fine Art and English Language
Only Fine Art and English Language are named. Candidates holding a technical or business certificate rather than five credits are explicitly catered for here.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Fine Arts, one (1) other Arts subject, and any other subject
That reads as four papers: English Language, Fine Arts, one further Arts subject and one subject of any kind.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Fine and Applied Arts if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require:
- NCE merit in Fine and Applied Arts Double Major
- ‘A’ Level passes in Fine Arts and any other subject
The NCE option asks specifically for a double major at merit, while the Advanced Level option pairs Fine Arts with any second subject.
JAMB Score

ACEONDO, also known as Adeyemi College of Education, is a Federal College in Ondo State, Nigeria’s southwest. The Nigerian federal government manages the college.

Fine Art Is the One Constant at ACEONDO Fine and Applied Arts
Every list in this requirement names Fine Art or Fine Arts. A candidate without it cannot use any of the three entry routes into the department.
Around that single fixed subject the conditions are generous, accepting technical and business certificates at Ordinary Level and leaving one JAMB paper entirely open.
Direct entry candidates choose between an NCE double major and Advanced Level passes, while UTME candidates need at least 120 in JAMB to reach the screening exercise.
