This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) aspirants that the Department of French & Islamic Studies admission requirements have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
French and Islamic Studies are both named at Ordinary Level and again in JAMB. The department asks for both halves of its title rather than offering a choice.
Everything else is light. English Language and Mathematics complete the named credits, and a single Arts subject fills the last place on each list.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study French & Islamic Studies include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

Four credits are specified and the fifth may be any Arts subject, which gives candidates one free choice among the five.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- French
- Islamic Studies, and any other Arts subject
Read in full that is English Language, French, Islamic Studies and one further Arts subject. Mathematics does not appear in the JAMB registration.

French and Islamic Studies Both Count at ACEONDO
Candidates must hold credits in French and in Islamic Studies, since each subject appears twice in this requirement with no substitute allowed.
French is usually the harder of the two to secure, because fewer secondary schools carry it through to the certificate examinations.
Mathematics is needed among the credits though not in JAMB, and the JAMB score has to reach 120 before the college will invite a candidate to screening.
