This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College Of Education, Ondo (ACEONDO) aspirants that the admission requirements for the Department of Islamic/Christian Religious Studies have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
English Language and Mathematics are the only subjects named outright at Ordinary Level. A religious studies credit and two Arts subjects complete the five.
The JAMB list follows the same shape without Mathematics, so a candidate offers English Language, a religious studies paper and two Arts subjects.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Islamic/Christian Religious Studies include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Islamic Studies/CRS and any two Arts subjects
Two of the five credits are left entirely to the candidate provided they are Arts subjects, which is a lighter condition than most departments here set.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- IRS/CRS and any two Arts subjects
Mathematics does not carry over into JAMB. In its place a second Arts paper joins English Language and the religious studies paper.

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.
That figure governs eligibility for the screening exercise rather than admission itself. Candidates below it go no further in the process.

The Religious Studies Credit at ACEONDO IRS and CRS
This requirement asks very little beyond English Language, Mathematics and a religious studies credit, with two open Arts places on each list.
That makes it one of the more reachable departments at the college for candidates from an arts or humanities background.
Both subject lists write the two religious studies subjects as Islamic Studies/CRS and IRS/CRS, a slash form used elsewhere on this site to mean one or the other, while the course title pairs them. Confirm with the ACEONDO admission office or the current JAMB brochure whether credits in both are required.
