This is to inform the general public that applications are now available for qualified candidates for admission into the Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) NCE in Political Science (Single Major) program for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The entry conditions here are built around Arts subjects. The college asks for credit passes in five Arts subjects, and it names English Language and Literature in English specifically, with a pass rather than a credit accepted in Mathematics.
Two of the five credits must be relevant to the course being applied for, so the choice of subjects is not entirely open. Candidates also have a sitting limit to work within, since the credits may not be spread beyond two sittings.
Available Combinations
- Theatre Arts/English
- Theatre Arts/Hausa
- Theatre Arts/Yoruba
- Theatre Arts/Igbo
- Theatre Arts/French
- Theatre Arts/Music
- Theatre Arts/History
- Theatre Arts/Social Studies
- Theatre Arts/Christian Religious Studies (CRS)
- Theatre Arts/Islamic Religious Studies (ISS)
Admission Requirements
JAMB UTME Combination
- English Language
- Literature-in-English plus any two Arts subjects
That gives four papers in total. English Language and Literature in English are fixed, and the candidate chooses the remaining two from the Arts subjects.

O’Level Requirement
- SSCE or G.C.E. ‘O’ Level with credit passes in five Arts subjects at not more than two sittings.
- Two of the credits must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer.
- A credit in English Language and Literature in English and a pass in Mathematics are required.
Mathematics is treated differently from the rest. A pass is enough there, while every one of the five Arts subjects must be at credit level.
The two sitting limit is worth checking early. Results spread across three or more sittings will not satisfy this condition, however strong the individual grades are.
How to Apply for ACEONDO NCE in Political Science Admission Form
Interested & Qualified? Contact:
- Admission Office, Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo
- Office of the Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences, ACEONDO
- Office of the HOD, Theatre Arts Department, ACEONDO
Any of these three offices can confirm which two of your credits count as relevant to the course, since that judgement is made by the department rather than stated on this page.
Confirming Your Subjects for ACEONDO NCE Political Science
Check first that you hold credits in five Arts subjects including English Language and Literature in English, that at least two of them relate to your intended course, and that they came from no more than two sittings.
Then confirm your Mathematics result, remembering that a pass is sufficient here, and line up the four UTME papers around English Language and Literature in English.
The subject combinations listed on this page are Theatre Arts pairings and the contact list names the Theatre Arts department, which does not match the Political Science single major named in the title. Confirm the correct combination and department directly with the ACEONDO admission office or the current brochure before applying.
