Admission Requirements for Banking and Finance
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Banking and Finance is Five (5) SSCE credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two (2) other relevant subjects.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Banking and Finance under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences at ADSU include;
Mathematics, one Social Science subject, and any other subject

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Banking and Finance if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other relevant subjects.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into ADSU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
The Social Science Slot at ADSU Banking and Finance
The UTME combination here is deliberately open. Mathematics is fixed beside the compulsory English Language, then one Social Science subject and one free choice complete the four papers.
Economics would be the obvious Social Science to use, but the page does not insist on it at JAMB. It does insist on it at O’level, where English Language, Mathematics and Economics are all named among the five credits.
The two remaining O’level credits are described only as relevant subjects, which leaves room for commercial papers you already hold.
The university has a competitive admissions process and does not consider a student’s age, cultural background or religion when deciding whether to admit them. A minimum of 180 and above in JAMB applies for the 2026/2027 session.
