Admission Requirements for Biochemistry
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Biochemistry is Five (5) SSCE credits in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Crop Production under the Faculty of Agriculture at ADSU include Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Biochemistry if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require:
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes, in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into ADSU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
All Four Sciences at ADSU Biochemistry
The O’level requirement for this course names every subject, namely English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology. There is no optional credit and no alternative offered for any of them.
At UTME one small choice appears. Biology and Chemistry are fixed beside the compulsory English Language, and the fourth paper can be Physics or Mathematics.
Since both of those are already required at O’level, that choice affects your JAMB registration rather than your result sheet. Check the two lists separately before applying.
Direct Entry draws its two A’level or NCE passes from the same group of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology. UTME candidates need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
