Admission Requirements for Animal Production
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Animal Production is Five (5) SSCE credits in Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, and English Language.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Animal Production under the Faculty of Agriculture at ADSU include;
Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, and Physics/Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Animal Production if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes or equivalent in Chemistry and one in Biology/Botany /Zoology/Agricultural Science/ Geography/Geology/ Mathematics/Economics.

No Free Subject at ADSU Animal Production
Every one of the five O’level credits is named for this course, namely Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, Physics and English Language. The only latitude is that Agricultural Science can stand in for Biology.
That substitution carries over to UTME, where the papers are Chemistry, Biology or Agric Science, and Physics or Mathematics beside the compulsory English Language.
Direct Entry is the route with real breadth. Chemistry is required, and the second A’level pass can come from Biology, Botany, Zoology, Agricultural Science, Geography, Geology, Mathematics or Economics.
Geography, Geology and Economics appear nowhere else on the page, so they only help Direct Entry candidates. UTME applicants need a minimum of 180 and above in JAMB for the 2026/2027 session.
