Botany at ADSU Without a Botany Paper
No part of this page asks for Botany itself. The requirements are built entirely on Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics, with one further Science or Social Science credit at O’level.
Biology does the work that a Botany paper might, and Agricultural Science is accepted in its place at both O’level and UTME, which suits candidates from agricultural secondary schools.
The JAMB combination is Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture, and Mathematics or Physics, with English Language compulsory alongside them.
Direct Entry recognises Economics as a third option behind the two science subjects. The university does not consider age, cultural background or religion in admissions, and candidates need a minimum of 180 and above in JAMB for the 2026/2027 session.
