Mass Communication is taught under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences at Adamawa State University. Mathematics is required at O’Level and appears nowhere else in the requirements.
Everything beyond English Language and Mathematics is described as social science subjects. No individual paper such as Literature or Government is ever named.
Confirm that Mass Communication appears on the current ADSU course list and that your JAMB registration records it correctly before you sit the examination.

Mathematics Appears Once Only at ADSU Mass Communication
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language and three other social science subjects. Two papers are named and the field is set for the rest.
That Mathematics credit is the one condition a candidate cannot plan around. It is easy to overlook on a communications course where nothing else quantitative is asked for.
The UTME combination drops it. English Language is compulsory and the three remaining papers are described simply as other social science subjects.
Direct Entry asks for two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes including English and one other social science subject, so English carries through while Mathematics does not.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at ADSU and applies whichever route a candidate uses.
