This is an update for students of Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG) on the academic calendar for the 2026/2027 session.
Worth noting first: the university formerly known as BASUG was renamed Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi (SAZU) in 2023, though it is still widely searched for under its old name. We’re keeping this page under the BASUG name since that’s what most students look for, but the official portal now lives at sazu.edu.ng.
As of this update, SAZU has not released an academic calendar for 2026/2027. The most recent calendar published on the official site covers the 2025/2026 session. No 2026/2027 document is up yet.
Rather than guess at dates, we’ll point you to where the real calendar will appear once Senate approves it: the university’s news and archives section at sazu.edu.ng, where resumption and session notices are usually posted first.
