It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in FUGASHUA to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

About Federal University Gashua

Federal University, Gashua, is located in Gashua, Yobe State, Nigeria.

It was established in 2013 by President Goodluck Jonathan. It is a research-centred Institution that seeks to solve the needs of society and give citizens equal opportunity to acquire a proper education.

Admission Requirements for English Language

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination

The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study English Language is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, Literature-in-English, English Language, and three other art subjects.

JAMB Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study English Language under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities at FUGASHUA include;

Literature-in-English and two other art subjects.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study English Language if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Literature-in-English and one other art subject.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUGSHUA for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
