WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Fisheries and Aquaculture is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language, and three other Science subjects.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.

Agricultural Science Substitutes for Biology at FUGASHUA Fisheries and Aquaculture
The O’Level line names Mathematics, Chemistry and English Language, then adds three other science subjects against a stated five credits. Confirm that total with the department.
Biology is not named at the secondary school stage, so the three open science credits can be filled in several different ways.
The UTME combination names Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture, and Physics or Mathematics alongside the compulsory English Language. Two of the four places carry an alternative.
Direct Entry asks for two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes in Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science, which keeps the same substitution available.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FUGASHUA and applies whichever route a candidate uses.
