Home Economics and Management is taught under the Faculty of Agriculture at Federal University Gashua (FUGASHUA). The O’Level requirement is built on five science credits plus one subject from a long vocational list.
That list runs to fifteen entries and covers catering, textiles, garment construction, metal work and printing. Few university pages recognise this much vocational secondary school work.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Home Economics and Management/Economics if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Economics/Physics/Mathematics/Geography/Accounting.

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUGASHUA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
A Fifteen Subject Vocational List at FUGASHUA Home Economics
The O’Level requirement names Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics and English Language, then adds one subject from the vocational list that follows.
That list includes Nutrition, Fine Arts, Textile, Construction, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, and General Metal Work.
It continues with Men Garment Construction and Finishing, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, and Ladies Garment Construction and Finishing.
The UTME combination names Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture, and Mathematics or Physics, with one social science subject accepted as an alternative in the final place.
