Chemistry is taught under the Faculty of Science at The Federal University, Kashere. The requirements are short, naming Chemistry and Mathematics and leaving the rest open within the sciences.
Physics and Biology are never named anywhere on this page. Any science subject will complete the combination, which is unusually permissive for a chemistry degree.

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Chemistry is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, and any other Science subject.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Chemistry under the Faculty of Science at FUKASHERE include;
Chemistry, Mathematics, and any other Science subject.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Chemistry if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any other science subjects.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Any Science Will Do Beside Chemistry at FUKASHERE
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry and any other science subject. Three papers are named and the balance is left open within the sciences.
The UTME combination repeats that structure. English Language is compulsory, Chemistry and Mathematics are fixed, and the third paper may be any other science subject.
Direct Entry is shorter still, asking for two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any other science subject. Chemistry is the one constant across all three routes.
Because Physics and Biology are never specified, a candidate has real freedom in choosing supporting subjects. That is worth knowing if one of them was a weak paper at secondary school.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FUKASHERE and applies before the subject conditions are examined.
