Computer Science is taught under the Faculty of Science at The Federal University, Kashere. Mathematics and Physics are the named subjects, with the remaining slots left open within the sciences.
Physics drops out at Direct Entry, where only Mathematics is required by name. That is the one place the three routes differ from each other.

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Computer Science is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and any other Science subject.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Computer Science under the Faculty of Science at FUKASHERE include;
Physics, Mathematics, and any other Science subject.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Computer Science if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other science subjects.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Mathematics Outlasts Physics in the FUKASHERE Computer Science Routes
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any other science subject. Three papers are named and the balance must still come from the sciences.
The UTME combination mirrors that. English Language is compulsory, Physics and Mathematics are fixed, and the third subject may be any other science paper.
Direct Entry asks only for two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. Physics is not named at that level, so a candidate could enter with Chemistry or Biology beside Mathematics.
Mathematics is therefore the single subject required at every stage without exception. A candidate weak in it has no route into this department.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FUKASHERE and applies before the subject conditions are examined.
