Education and Chemistry is taught under the Faculty of Education at The Federal University, Kashere (FUKASHERE). Chemistry is required on all three routes and never has an alternative.
Agricultural Science is accepted at O’Level but not at UTME, where Mathematics takes its place in the list of supporting subjects. The two stages do not match.

Confirm that Education and Chemistry appears on the current FUKASHERE course list and that your JAMB registration records it correctly before you sit the examination.

JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Education and Chemistry under the Faculty of Education at FUKASHERE include;
Chemistry and two (2) other subjects chosen from Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Chemistry if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes, including Chemistry and one (1) other Science subject.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Agricultural Science Stops at O Level for FUKASHERE Education and Chemistry
The O’Level requirement is five SSC credits in Mathematics, Chemistry and English Language, plus two of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
The UTME combination keeps English Language compulsory, fixes Chemistry, and asks for two more from Physics, Biology and Mathematics. Agricultural Science is not accepted there.
A candidate who relied on Agricultural Science at secondary school will therefore need a different paper at JAMB, even though the credit itself still counts.
Direct Entry is the lightest condition, asking for two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes including Chemistry and one other science subject.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FUKASHERE and applies whichever route a candidate uses.
