Mathematics is taught under the Faculty of Sciences at The Federal University, Kashere. Direct Entry here is set out as two distinct routes rather than a single sentence.
Economics appears at UTME and on the NCE route but never at O’Level, so a commercially inclined candidate gains ground only after secondary school.

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Mathematics is Five (5) SSC credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Mathematics under the Faculty of Sciences at FUKASHERE include;
Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Economics or Geography.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you must fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Mathematics if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject.
- NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) in Physics, Chemistry or Economics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Two Listed Direct Entry Routes at FUKASHERE Mathematics
The O’Level requirement is five SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics or Chemistry. Only three of the five are addressed, leaving two open.
Physics and Chemistry being alternatives rather than both compulsory is the main concession at that stage.
The UTME combination keeps English Language compulsory, fixes Mathematics, and asks for any two of Physics, Chemistry, and Economics or Geography.
Direct Entry lists two options separately: two advanced level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject, or an NCE at merit in Mathematics with one in Physics, Chemistry or Economics.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FUKASHERE and applies whichever of those routes a candidate uses.
